Elephant Ear Leaf glass mosaic       The substrate for this mosaic was caste from a leaf in my garden. Here my friend Laura poses with the mosaic and the plant inspiring it. Made with mottled Youghiougheny glass.
gog mosaic, rooster art       This glass-on-glass mosaic was made on a repurposed wood window. I patterned the rooster after Corny, the Kellogg Corn Flakes mascot. Italian millefiori add some dazzle to the sun rays.
klimt       Based on Klimt's now destroyed Medicine mural in Vienna. Framed stained glass mosaic.
mad magazine Alfred E Neuman       Based on the 1904 illustration inspiring Mad Magazine's character Alfred E. Neuman. I enjoyed thinking of simpler times while making this piece. Most everyone seeing The Optimist in progess couldn't suppress a big smile! Stained glass mosaic on handmade substrate.
roman mosaic       Having to travel frequently for my husband's medical treatments, I found using small vitreous tiles and a classic pattern made for a hotel-room-friendly project. I like how the bright colors transform the ancient Solomon's Knot motif.
