One of my favourite pieces to date, this was a free-flowing piece that developed each time I laid a tile. I loved incorporating the wire, curves and metallics... |

This sign was for a local restaurant in France. Sized at 1m diameter, it was large and great fun to make. It is circular in shape but with cut-out shapes around the leaves to add interest. I used a mixture of unglazed, high-fired ceramic and glass tile to create a contrast between the nut and the background. An organic-shaped mosaic sculpture made for a 'big' birthday celebration. Made using a foam core, coated and tiled, this has been made using correct methods and to be long-lasting. A simple design to reflect the garden's flowers worked very well and almost blends into it's surroundings. Size 1m x 0.5m, this larger piece of wall art was commissioned to hang in a newly decorated master bedroom. I was given a mood board of colours, designs and textures and the freedom to go with the flow. The wall colours were a vibrant mustard yellow, so the mainly white artwork sat perfectly against this colour. |
