Created from a photograph of Yarmouth Harbour on a January morning in thick fog, but with a beam of sunlight shining through. 915mm square. Worked mainly in ceramic tiles and china. This mosaic will be shown at my solo exhibition next spring at Quarr Abbey. |

A contemporary take on a classic Roman mosaic floor design. Traditionally crafted with marble cubed tesserae this floor has been hand-made using contemporary ceramic and glass tiles in tones that complement the travertine-clad ensuite bathroom.

Parrot
In 2002 I attended a 3 week course with Martin Cheek. A week in Venice and two weeks on the Island of Evia in Greece. We took a couple of tours in Venice and Athens to discover what we wanted to create while in the workshop. This Parrot is what I found.

Although not strictly following the remit of portraiture work I was commissioned to create a triptych depicting the rainforest to be positioned in a stairwell.
This was a large piece made entirely from stained glass plate.
