Based on the 1904 illustration inspiring Mad Magazine's character Alfred E. Neuman. I enjoyed thinking of simpler times while making this piece. Most everyone seeing The Optimist in progess couldn't suppress a big smile! Stained glass mosaic on handmade substrate. |
