The British Association of Modern Mosaic (BAMM) was founded in 1999 and exists to promote, encourage and support excellence in contemporary mosaic art and to raise public awareness of modern mosaic art through exhibitions, publications, events and related educational activities. BAMM is an energetic and enthusiastic membership organisation open to all those interested in contemporary mosaic art, whether you are an artist, a collector, student or enthusiast. We are all here to celebrate this unique art.

The Association is run by volunteer members from the membership subscription and through financial support from our fundraising activity. There are four membership levels, Ordinary member, Professional member, Corporate and Educational member. Membership of BAMM bring with it many benefits, including the following:–

Regular newsletter. ‘Grout’ is BAMM’s regular source of news, reviews, information and inspiration from the world of mosaics published three times a year in colour exclusively to members.
BAMM's French members also publish a French language PDF newsletter 'Interstices'.

www.bamm.org.uk. Every BAMM member can display their work in the exclusive members section of the website which is an internationally recognised portal for mosaic enthusiasts. You can also find out information and links to many other mosaic related sites on the net from here.

Andamento. Our annual journal free for BAMM members looking in depth at modern mosaics and recent mosaic history.

Exhibition Programme. BAMM runs a series of major exhibitions on a rolling four-year cycle. Members are eligible to enter work for these; some are selective, while others are open to all submissions. In addition to these regular exhibitions there are opportunities to exhibit through regional groups. We are constantly looking to improve and expand our exhibition programme.

Events. BAMM organises regular events and visits to mosaic-related sites throughout the year.

Discounts. A growing number of mosaic tile and equipment suppliers offer discounts on their products to BAMM members.

Regional Groups. Local BAMM groups have been set up to offer social and networking opportunities to get involved, meet other mosaic enthusiasts, swap information and even join in local shows and events.

International Connections. BAMM has close ties with overseas organisations such as the Society of American Mosaic Artists and the International Mosaic Association, fostering the international promotion of mosaic art and the exchange of news and information.

Advertising. BAMM offers opportunities for highly targeted advertising to mosaic artists, collectors and specifiers. Corporate members have the benefit of discounted advertising in Grout and on the BAMM website along with other sponsorship and association opportunities.

The British Mosaic Forum. BAMM’s annual meeting includes: inspirational speakers on a wide variety of mosaic subjects; a great chance to meet fellow mosaic enthusiasts; networking opportunities; Mosaic books and materials vendors.

Studio Visits. Activities arranged during the year include your chance to visit the studios of other mosaic artists.

Networking Opportunities. Regional and National events offer the chance to meet and talk to mosaic makers of all descriptions including internationally renowned artists.

Mosaic Trips. Organised trips offer great opportunity to see interesting mosaic sites and events.
