Christine Walker qualified as a Textile Designer in 1971 at Birmingham College of Art and Design. She gained her Art Teacher's Certificate in Brighton where she found her first job in a Day Centre for Physically Disabled Adults and completed a Craft Teacher's Certificate which included mosaics.
Thirty years later Christine has taken up mosaic for her own pleasure, drawing on influences from Klimt, Kandinsky and Hundertwasser.
Her first pieces were tables and exterior wall panels featured on the ArtOutside website, but after studying interior design (and specialising in tiling) she now constructs interior panels and decorative tile inlets.
